hi, all. Some of you may know that I am a financial counselor when it's not tax season. I have already posted on education-related tax benefits and the various types of education financing available.

Procuring some of that financing will require solid credit histories. Going back to being a student will require major shifts in our financial habits.

Are you all interested in threads on these topics? If there's some interest, I am happy to put together an introductory post or two and then field questions.

Amy,

If I paid my brother's tuition, how can I claim it when filing taxes? Is it claimable? Can I claim him as my dependent? This is the first year I am filing taxes. Appreciate it
