Dear All,

My Name is Krishna Kartheek, working as Assistant Professor in Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration. I have one year of hospital experience as a Hospital Administrator and 10 years of teaching experience (includes research publications) in healthcare management. Now I am planning to pursue PhD in Business Management (Healthcare Policy & Management) from any of the reputed Business School in USA.
My query is, "should I take GRE or GMAT as the qualifying test which will be accepted by the reputed Business Schools. Also what should be the range of scores in GRE / GMAT to get their acceptance.

Thank you

Hi,

the GRE is widely accepted right now. Actually, there is no difference. Make a list of your target schools and on the website see the criteria for the GRE or the GMAT

Pretty straight.

Hope this was useful

Regards

Hello krishnakartheek

Since you have your research published, it should be fairly easy for you to pick schools based on your research match.

That will also answer your question regarding GMAT vs. GRE for particular school, or for your overall list of target schools.

This example for Harvard:

https://www.hbs.edu/doctoral/areas-of-s ... fault.aspx

https://www.hbs.edu/doctoral/admissions ... ments.aspx

As you can see, either GMAT or GRE is acceptable for Harvard.

Here is another example, for Stanford University:
http://med.stanford.edu/hsr/grad_programs/phd.html
http://med.stanford.edu/hsr/grad_progra ... apply.html

As you can see Stanford only accepts GRE, as other schools below:

Wharton
https://hcmg.wharton.upenn.edu/programs/phd/

Yale
https://publichealth.yale.edu/hpm/curri ... d/phd.aspx

UCLA
https://ph.ucla.edu/academics/departmen ... management

Berkeley

Good Luck
