Hi all! I was just wondering how competitive my profile is to be considered for a Canadian or American Top 50 for phd in accounting?

-Scored 640 on GMAT, retaking soon to get as close to a 700
-Canadian CPA
-Research experience with professors from old university
-3.7 GPA (both undergrad and post grad)
-3 years work experience at a big four.

Thanks!

Good accounting PhD programs will emphasize GMAT scores and in particular, the scores on the quantitative section. It is possible sometimes to show a good quant background to balance a lower quant GMAT score. Quant-oriented accounting programs will emphasize these aspects much more than will the non-quant ones.
