I have 3.91 BS in Accounting, 710 GMAT and almost 10 years of business experience, including Big 4, state government and DoD. I applied to UNC, GWU, UMaryland, UNC and Virginia Tech. This weekend I got a campus visit from Virginia Tech. Any feedback on my profile or Virginia Tech as a PhD in Accounting school would be appreciated.

According to the information provided your profile is solid. Virginia has a really good PhD. But what is in theory, then could be the same or not in to the reality of the BS.

After all is a good chance.

Hope the best.

It seemed that you answered about Virginia - did you mean UVa? Just wanted to make sure you related to Virginia Tech. What do you you mean about the theory of Phd and a reality of BS?

I mean this one http://www.acis.pamplin.vt.edu/pos/phd/phdprogram.htm correct me if you intend another major degree

For the difference, I mean: allBS have amazing program and so on......In reality you should see which ROI they have in terms of employement in academia or in industry and so on....

For instance: INSEAD or Harvard is not the same of Virginia Tech, even though the latter is really good

Hope this helps
