Hello all,
I really hope that someone here can help me because I spent weeks thinking about this. This may change my life forever.
I didn't do well at school and to be honest I wasn't sure about school and thinking that I would go for a PhD in the future. I got a bachelor degree in Accounting at Fitchburg State University 3.25/4.0 and a master degree in Accounting at Suffolk University in Boston with 3.0/4.0
After finished my master and I interned for 6 months as an account payable clerk, then I went back to Vietnam. I have been working for a university as a lecturer in Accounting/Finance. And now I REALLY want to come back to America and pursue PhD in Accountant/MIS. So I am practicing for GMAT and planning to take it around the beginning of December, target 650, for Fall 2022 application which usually stop accepting application around beginning of January.
As you can tell, my GPA is low + working experience not great + no experience with research + Gmat is average (If I can get my target), I don't know there are any schools out there that can consider and accept my application. I contacted a few but I was kinda out of range. Here are some school I will try for:
1. Florida International University
2. University of San Diego
3. George Mason University
4. Washington State University
5. Lehigh University (Economics)
6. Syracuse University
7. Kent State University
8. Georgia State University
Any opinions/recommendations, please? What do you think about my chance to get into a PhD program? Which school will I have the highest chance? If you know any PhD programs in either Business Administration or Accounting would fit me, please let me know.
The truth maybe hurts me but I look forward to it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
