It depends on school to school. USC and UNC did not need my official scores, while Kelley,Krannert and Carey did. In general at some point everyone will require them but some schools will ask you for official scores only after acceptance (which is so much easier)...
@Kaitlyn IIM's and ISB offer fpm's (fellow programs) which are equivalent to PhD's. Delhi,Calcutta and Mumbai Uni's offer PhD's but are not that great. For IIM's you need CAT/GMAT/GATE to get in followed by some test and interview. Good thing is you share courses with PGDBM candidates as well while the competition for getting in is easier. Also you do get stipend (something like 25000 Rs/month as a senior research fellow) and course is free. However PhD's take a long time here to get (minimum 5 years) and prepare for an academic role or a consulting role if your research deals with relevant issues. However for simple marketing and sales you are better off with an MBA. It will in no way make your career smoother, do it only if you love the subject.

Thank you very much for the information. Well i am not applying in any schools for PhD Marketing because i got score of 380. i do not think it makes sense of sending applications with this score :(
