PhD rankings 2012/2015

Question

First of all, candidates should understand that rankings mean nothing (almost). While selecting schools, once should do a deep dive into the research being churned out of the schools, and how well it aligns with their own objectives. The "top" school is not "top" for everyone. Rank #1 may be a terrible school for you, while rank #17 may be fantastic.

With that said, following is a ranking of schools based on 2012-2015 research productivity as recorded by UTD NJSOM*

* Please bear in mind that UTD may have selected the journals to which their faculty contribute frequently (not implying deliberate misleading here, just possible sampling bias), rendering the ranking somewhat biased.

UTD is always uptdating the rankings: https://jindal.utdallas.edu/the-utd-top- ... -rankings/ Just don't rely too much on rankings.
