I would like to write down some shortcuts on the cover of the scratchpad during the break. I'm trying to determine how much space is available on the cover. I'd rather not write the shortcuts inside the booklet as I'd like to maximize my working area.
It doesn't work like that. You cannot be in the testing room during the break, and you cannot take any testing material out with you. To put it in other words:
1. If you don't take the break, your pad will be changed and the next section will start immediately.
2. If you take the break, your pad will be changed and you will start the next section as soon as you return to the testing room.
You'll have little more than a minute to prep your pad the way you want. It's probably not worth it. If you're planning to do this for quant, you'll probably need more than one pad during the section, and all the stuff you wrote down will be lost when they provide you the replacement pad.
