GMAT1 - Dec 2007: 690 (Q48 V 36) AWA 5.0
GMAT2 - Jul 2010 : 710 (Q50 V 35) (AWA: still waiting)
GPA: 3.24 - Top 10 Engineering college in US
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
I am an Indian citizen living abroad (in US) for last 6 years. I did my bachelors in the US.
Work Experience:
Oil and gas industry in Houston. I joined a company which manufactures and services all kinds of oil machinery and tools which go on a rig. It is a fortune 500 company with 40000 employees in various countries.
First year with the company was a rotational program in which I worked in Houston for 9 months and China for 3 months.
Second year was all in Houston where I worked as Electrical engineer/project engineer on various subsea rig projects.
Career Goals
I want to change careers from engineering into strategic consulting short term. I am also targeting rotational programs at various energy companies for leadership roles.
My long term goal is to work in general management within energy/alternative energy.
Extracurricular activities
I have been a big brother (mentorship program) for the past 8 months, and will continue to do so for a year.
I was a teaching assistant as an undergraduate for an electrical engineering sophomore level lab.
Team member of a sponsorship committee which raised funds for a company organised charity softball tournament.
