Dear Anmol,
Well I'd that in US business schools, you;d be competitive likely at around schools ranked 20-40 (this is VERY approximate until I get some more detail about you and your work). In Europe, I think schools like Oxford and HEC are possible, but are stretches for you, given your Indian/Male/Tech background and the fact that you have okay grades from a non IIT university. But I think there are still plenty of excellent options open to you.
Does this helps?
Best,
Hello there Anmol,
First of all a hearty congratulations on your fantastic GMAT there! You are definitely doing your part. Right now though you are a bit early for an MBA. You need at least one more year of experience, so 2015 is when you should be thinking about applying. In the meanwhile, the single most important thing besides your GMAT will be your work experience. You should also ensure that you have some good volunteer stuff, and if you have any other interesting projects on the side, that is great too.
It's a bit early to be evaluating your chances, since your chances will depend on what you do in the coming years, so I'd say take things one step at a time.
Best,
JF
Thank You for your advice. I am planning to join MBA in June 2015. I think I would have enough work experience by that time. I need to plan everything( Financing my MBA , Research B-schools that are good for me etc). I would be highly obliged if you could give me a basic idea which B-schools I should target.
