Hi,
Please evaluate my profile and kindly suggest is it better to take MBA or EMBA.

Indian Citizen, Singapore PR
GMAT: yet to take, aiming for 750
Graduation : B.sc Agriculture, OGPA 8.9/10
Experience: 9 years .
I worked in a Public sector bank in India and handled various roles like Branch Manager, credit analyst and KYC analyst. Joined the Bank as Assistant Manager and within three years promoted to Manager cadre. Managed branches with business SGD 4.9 million and staff of 10. As a public servant, other than improving business , I gave thrust to improve the economic conditions of underprivileged community.I quit my job in 2019 due to some unavoidable personal reasons, so before taking a new career thought of taking MBA from either INSEAD, Singapore or NUS, Singapore. preparing for GMAT for past 3 months.
International Experience : Nil
Community: I worked with Women Self Help Groups in my area and provided them necessary guidance in managing the micro finance of the group, and revitalised a dormant SHG group . But I don't have any certificates for this, I did this as a volunteer only.
Short term Goal: Work in Forex department of Private Bank.
Long term goal: Use my knowledge and experience in empowering women and become one of the 50 most influential women in Asia.

Hi nice10, thanks for reaching out to us. From what you shared in your profile, I think your chances will be stronger going the EMBA route. Not only do acceptance rates tend to be higher for EMBA, I think your profile better suits that format, since you have close to 10 years experience, several promotions and time spent managing good size teams. You have a strong GPA too, and I think if you go the EMBA route, that takes a little pressure off your GMAT score too (I think a 730 or so would be fine there). One caveat is that most EMBA programs require you to be employed, and many students are even sponsored by their current employers. So if you're not currently working, that could present a challenge if you go the EMBA route.
If you decide the MBA route better suits you, I would aim for that high 750 GMAT, and see if there are ways you can boost your community involvement.
