Hi Hjort,
I needed help with the application process.As it is still early days ,i wanted to know where i stand in terms of my profile.
Can you please evaluate it and tell me if i would have a good shot at the schools of my choice.
Here is my brief profile :
GMAT score -680
nationality -Indian
work ex - about 3 years of IT experience
Academics - decent
Extracurricular - (now i dont know how to judge this parameter,i'd say average-decent )
Community service - short stints of community service.
Prefered specialization : Finance -This is different from my graduation field ,(i am a mechanical engineer) and my work experince in IT -(telecom domain)
the schools i have shortlisted so far are :
Rochester univ -simon
univ of iowa-tippie
boston univ -school of mgmt
washington -olin
Please evaluate this profile and tell me whether i stand a chance in the above b-schools or the ones in the same league.
I understand my work ex is not too great ,but i think i will settle for b-schools ranked betwee 25-40 in the world.
