1) Basic demographic info:

Age : 22 years
Gender female
Nationality : Indian


2) Educational Background:

10th - icse- 77%
12th - cbse - 84%(science)
Completed my Graduation from a pune University in 2010 with a Bachelors of business administration with 75.6 % in graduation . i was awarded the best outstanding student of the year 2010 along with holding the first rank in my college.

GMAT score : 660 (M:50, V:29) awa - 5.0
Was associated with a few Clubs during Graduation. Have a couple of Internal Paper presentations during graduation.


3) Work experience:

Working as assistant manager in my family business. work ex- 2 years by march 2012

4) Extracurriculars:
best horse rider,
participated in few school level sports such as volleyball, kho kho, football, tennis

has won the certificate of highest marks for informatics practices (computer)

participated in college cultural feasts.

5) Short/Long term goals:

i want to expand my family business globally and develop it in a profound way.

6) Schools:

want to apply in round 1

I had shortlisted a few schools but will like to know about other schools i can think of among the Top 50
A few shortlisted schools are:
Nanyang Business School
national university of singapore
USC marshall
rice university

It will be great if you could suggest something

Hi Nimisha,

You have a decently competitive profile. Your acads though can be rated as average (undergrad is great, but GMAT is average), but you have involvement in diverse extra curricular activities that will help you set apart.

More information regarding your industry, your role, your contribution in your family business would be helpful while selecting universities. Each school has its own strength. So it depends on what you want to extract out of the program that will make the program useful as well as make your application stronger. Feel free to call us for a discussion.

said business school ( i know this will be really really tough)

actually i really want to get through either of the both...
so as i have already tokd you my profile in addition to that i can show few more extra curriculars and that i have been working in my family business unit expansion while i was in college for bba. i really dont know which colleges i should aim for. and the applications are really costly for aborad colleges. so if u can guide me with that

Hi Nimisha,

You have a decent chance at Grate Lakes. With low work-ex and average GMAT, you will have other aspects of your work to differentiate yourself. We might have to do one level deeper to make your application stand out by highlighting the skills displayed at work. NTU is a decent reach but NUS and Oxford will be a long shot.
