Hi ravengrammar,

D in sentence 1. Comparative - between two, Superlative among many (more than 2)

D in sentence 2. All the other answer choices are redundant

1. The money had been split equally between the four gang members.
A) had been split equally between the four gang members
B) was split equally between the four gang members
C) had been split into equal shares between the four gang members
D) had been split equally among the four gang members
---Correct between is used for two people, among for more than 2
E) had been split equal by the four gang members --- meaning is changed.

2. The computer has the capability for processing all the relevant data within a half hour.
A) has the capability for processing
B) has the capacity of processing
C) has the capability in processing
D) can process ----------Correct -
E) processes
