It sounds like there are a ton of moving pieces in your story.

In short, I would not worry about the background. If and when that process arrives, you'll manage it in coordination with the admissions office of the school and the background check company. As long as you're upfront with them, there should be no issues.

If you have a short medical leave (and it's covered) you probably don't have to mention it. I'm not sure what you're using the optional essay for but the issues you've discussed seem like they should take a priority.

Please use the link for a free consultation as I think you could seriously benefit from talking to someone on our staff and understanding how we can help you eliminate the noise in your application and calm your nerves.

Everything will be fine!

Thank you, yes I think I won't mention the short leave (maximum 2/3 months fully covered) and I'll be back at work before the interview.
I will use the optional essay to explain a 6 month gap in my resume in 2018 : it was a full-time fixed contract experience, the company was going through a merger and I wasn't offered the extension of my contract to stay there. It took me a few months to find another job (the current one)

I will schedule a the consultation as advised, thanks

Yes it's a paid leave, only 3 weeks at this stage. To talk about it in which way exactly?

Hi everyone,
I was planning to apply this fall but my GMAT score decided otherwise. I took some time off to rest because I was really exhausted and I'm ready to go back to work now.
Since the beginning of covid-19, I have worked remotely (I have a condition that makes me vulnerable to covid-19) while my colleagues went to the office almost every day). Additionally, I've experienced some issues with my boss (mental harassment among other things) but decided to stay at my company so it won't be an issue for the MBA.
I'm planning to apply by January, I got my vaccine shot this summer so I'm back at the office.
Even with remote work, this year was horrible, but it's nothing compared to what I feel now at the office.
I have the possibility to go see a doctor and possibly be diagnosed with burn-out. If it's the case, I will still be part of the company but won't have to go back there. Will this constitute an issue for the MBA ? I can try to come back if I feel better in a few weeks or months. I can also resign from my work once I receive my MBA admission. I'm really concerned about the impact on the MBA process. I don't think that I'll have to reveal it in the application (after all, it's my personal health), but when the background check company will call my employer, the latter will say that I was sick from day X till day Y. Will this be an issue ? Should I come back to work before having my interview (arround february) ... ?
Please help/advise :(

Relax man...relax...
First get your desired score in GMAT...
Apply to schools where you want to go...
Prep well for interviews and ace those
Once done if you receive an admit all well , then just resign ...thats all
Btw.... BGV from schools is very rudimentary and they will only ask if the candidate was working from this date to this or not?
Relax...and all the best
