Hi all thank you in advance for any feedback that you be able to offer. Here is my story:
I initially began studying for the GMAT during the Fall '13 with the same target score 500-550 in order to get into my desired/targeted B-school.
I spent roughly an hour everyday after work, heavily focusing on the quant portion of the exam. After about 2-3 months of studying I managed to take the actual exam and let's just say completely bombed it. I felt like I was doing okay at first but the time was starting to run out the as the test progressed, forcing me to pick up the speed therefore the test evolved into a guessing game by the end.
Naturally I'm not the best standardized test taker. I'm not looking to get an extremely high score as mentioned above, just need to achieve the targeted range.
Here is what I used to study for the exam:
-Kaplan Premier
-Princeton Review
- Official Gmat Guide '13
At this point I don't think my strategy works for me. After hearing a lot of great review from the
Manhattan gmat series, I'm enticed to try it. However, the eight book series seems to be too intense for the time frame that I'm looking for. Ultimately I'd like to be able to achieve the desired score within two months of studying. I'm not able to dedicate a a full hour of studying everyday due to the severity of my work schedule. I'm planning on three hours during the weekdays and about three-four hours during the weekend.
Please offer any advise that you might think can help me get back to achieving my dream of getting this test out of the way. I've been on and off studying for it and it's constantly on a back of my mind.
Thank you!
