Hi,

I applied to UNC MAC and Notre Dame MAC. I was rejected by UNC after the interview. I was rejected by Notre Dame without an interview.

Stats:
660 GMAT
Five years FT experience, with two of them in accounting.
2.8 undergraduate GPA
Liberal Arts UG Major

What MAC and MBA in accounting programs do I have a chance at?

I appreciate all your help.
Well I am not exactly sure about the work experience requirements for the said schools (since none is mentioned on the website either)
But taking a wild guess and given the average age of 23-24, i guess the program is meant for freshers. (up to 2 years of work ex) and the class profile of a fresher's program is a real set off from an MBA program (because GPA matters for a fresher's application).
Given you are acquainted with the corporate world for 5 years, I guess an MBA will be a better option for you.
For the MBA Programs (having a similar class profile average range as you) it's quite difficult to put it in a list.
You gotta spend significant time researching those MBA programs.
Secondly, Since GPA is irreversible, you can work on your GMAT score and push it forward towards the target average of the program you are looking forward to. Plus ESSAYs, SOP, Extra-curricular, volunteering experience, and LOR are the other factor which set off a profile.

And if you still want to do specialized masters (like MAC) I will suggest keeping the class profile in mind before applying. The class profile does give a rough sketch of the demographic bifurcation of the student.

Hi there,
If you are looking for MBA programs with a Specialization in Accounting, take a look at this: https://www.aringo.com/mba-accounting-specialization/
You didn't provide many details about your profile, but you should have a chance at Marshall, Fisher, Kelley, Marriott & Mccombs, especially if you improve your GMAT score.

Your GPA is low in a soft major. Is your work experience related to accounting in any way? I would consider an MBA with your level of experience. The MACC really is for people with an accounting background or at least a business background.

If you were determined to do a MACC for whatever reason, I would suggest you find a school with a certificate program in business or accounting. Something where you can take intro accounting classes and have a separate GPA. I believe NYU has something like this, for example. That would give you some foundation in accounting as well as show the admissions office that you a) can do the work and b) have academically matured.

Assuming you want to do neither of these things, look for lower tiered MACC programs. UNC and ND are great schools.
