Stimulus: While our school's recent job placement rates have been dismal, there is hope on the way. National reports show that the economy has added over two hundred thousand jobs this quarter, and the capital markets seem to suggest that the economy will continue to expand rapidly. With the surge in hiring, there is no question that your Columbus State degree will lead toward gainful employment in the very near future.
The conclusion of the argument is that with the surge in hiring, there is no question that your Columbus State degree will lead toward gainful employment in the very near future.That means that author speculated that there will be significant employment in near future. The reasoning of author is that as there was a recent surge in jobs and the same job surge is expected to continue in future, so author is optimistic that there will be bright future for students of Columbus state Degree.
The assumptions underlying author's conclusion are firstly, jobs surge is most among the people with Columbus State Degree and also the same will be continued in future. Secondly, the jobs which surged are not temporary jobs.Thirdly, there will be no economic depression that will have a negative impact on expectation of capitals market and economy in such a way the jobs availability will be decreased.
Jobs surge is most among people with State degree is one of the assumption which overlooks the possibility that employers who are hiring are satisfied with the State degree and no other higher qualification. For instance the employers who hired recently might hire people for high skill jobs who have higher degree than State Degree. Thus in case majority of jobs which surged are only people with high degree then the author's prediction will be shattered.
The another assumption is that the jobs which surged are not temporary jobs. That means that the job surge based on which author draws conclusion are at least not temporary jobs. What if the employers hired people only for contract jobs and employees too joined due to unavailability of permanent jobs.
Finally author taken for granted there would not be much negative impact on jobs in future in case any economic depression occurs. For example , in 2008 most of economy and jobs plummeted heavily due to global recession or economic depression worldwide which impacted almost every country's economy and jobs. Hence author is assuming that that much level of debacle would not occur.
In sum, the argument would more logically sound if author mentions that the jobs which were surged recently were not temporary jobs and mostly of Columbia State Degree and not any higher degree.
