Given AX > CY
=> AB - XB > CD - YD
Cancelling AB and CD because AB = CD.
=> -XB > -YD => XB < YD (flip the greater than symbol on multiplying both sides with -1). Option B is the answer.

A We can simply eliminate from above diagram
B we can keep it
C we can keep it
D eliminated
E eliminated
diagram 2 where x lie on Mid point and y lie before that

question equation still satisfied but now from above diagram we can eliminate D also
so B is the answer.

Point X is located on line segment AB and point Y is located on line segment CD. If AB = CD and AX > CY, then

(A) XB > YD

(B) XB < YD

(C) AX > XB

(B) AX < XB

(E) AX > AB

We can assume values for the respective line segments

AB = CD = 10
There is a possibility that AX is a part of AB, and CY is a part of CD.
Let the length of AX be 7 and CY be 6.

Therefore, we can find out values for XB = AB - AX = 3 and YD = CD - CY = 4

Now, plugging these number is answer options,
we can determine which of the answer options is always true

(A) XB > YD -> 3 > 4 is not true

(B) XB < YD -> 3 < 4 is true

(C) AX > XB -> 7 > 3 is true


(B) AX < XB -> 7 < 3 is not true

(E) AX > AB -> 7 > 10 is not true

But if AX = 5 and CY = 4.9, XB = 5 and YD = 5.1

(B) XB < YD -> 5 < 5.1 is true

(C) AX > XB -> 5 > 5 is not true

Therefore, Option B(XB < YD) is the only option which is always true!
