Hi all,

I began studying for the GMAT two months ago and I have my test in 6 days, on September 16.

I did a Kaplan course and I was scoring 610-630 on my practice tests, which is around my goal.
I've been studying pretty consistently for the last two weeks, ~25 hours a week (I work full time as well).

I did a GMATPrep exam today I got a score of 530, and I am shocked that it was almost 100 points lower than what I was consistently getting on Kaplan.
I'm not sure if it was just a bad test, or Kaplan is that much easier.

I am not sure if I should reschedule or not. I was thinking of doing another GMATPrep test Tuesday.

Please help!

Firstly, if it is not a problem, I would recommend rescheduling the exam.

Secondly, Stay focused on what you from the exam, how much score you are targeting, is you verbal and quant prep up to the mark for the score you want? Maybe once you have these answers you can book an exam date.

Thirdly, if you want to give the exam next week, don't stress out. Prepare you best.

Pick up topics you really like and you think you can make a drastic improvement within a week. Work on your weaknesses.
It is just an exam, which you can always give again with better preparation.

On the exam day, take a Chill pill and perform your best.
All the best.

PS -- Even I am aiming for a Canadian MBA college for next year August Will write my exam in October last week.

Thanks Inten21.

Unfortunately, since it was 6 days before my test, I can't reschedule for $50. The cost to reschedule is another $250, so I will just be taking the test. The school to which I am applying doesn't care how many times you write the GMAT.

I'll take the other GMATPrep test tomorrow and see how I do.

My application is due November 1st, which is cutting it close if I have to rewrite, but I've only been working for a little over a year since I graduated university. If I don't make it this fall, i'll apply in June 2018.

All the very best. :-D
Give it your best shot. 8-)

I am planning to write my GMAT either in the last week of October or in the first week of November.
I don't think I can apply in Round1. It's already too late for me.

So I will be applying in Round 2. The deadlines are usually around January some time. So, I guess there is still hope for me to join an MBA college in August 2018 (Fall).
