Hi I have a question related to my recommender. My supervisor just forwarded me his completed recommendation for my reference (I didn't ask him to send it to me, so he just did it himself which was kinda strange).
But I noticed that it looks like he pasted the reccomendation incorrectly since it just cuts off mid-sentence. However, more concerning, I noticed that when he filled out my personality traits, he put down that I was exceptional and above average on everything except for one item related to "teamwork/ working well with others" which is the only thing that he put down was average. I think this stands out pretty stark and I'm honestly a little concerned because I've heard poor interpersonal skills is a kiss of death on the reccomendation letter. I know he put that down because I am honestly a bit of an introvert and I don't really enjoy that my workplace feels like a frat-house (very informal, weird post-college frat culture for a bank) so I can see why he put that down.
I guess will this be extremely bad for application? I've spent A LOT of time preparing my applications and other material and sooo much time preparing for the GMAT that I'm a little diappointed about this and worried that a lot of hard work was for naught soon.

I'm sorry to hear that you're worried about your LOR. Regarding the formatting, how much of the recommendation was cut off? Did he forward you a Word or PDF doc, or was it downloaded from the website? If the latter, it could be that he went over the word or character limit. I would say that if what was included answered the prompt fully, then I wouldn't worry about what was cut off since his thoughts were conveyed.
Regarding the ratings, it's true that "teamwork/working well with others" is something that ideally you want to be rated highly on. That said, he gave you an average rating, not below average so it's not a kiss of death. The fact that he gave you exceptional and above average marks on everything else is very good for the adcom. The ones that I would worry about not getting high marks on would be anything leadership or quantitative/analytical related. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. This is just one one variable in your entire application. If the rest of your application and LOR's are stellar, this one average rating wouldn't break your application.

Hi Cindy,
Thanks your words help a lot! Regarding the cut-off, essentially it looks like he only got in a sentence of a whole paragraph that he wanted to write. He sent me the PDF of it but it looks like ther was a 1000 character word limit and he didn't even check that the passage he was pasting was probably over 1000 so hence why it got chopped (or he ran out of thought mid sentence).
I understand that leadership and quant are also important. For the leadership, he rated me above average, so my total interperonal skills aren't really that high (between leadership, communication, and teamwork, I didn't get any exceptionals besides my quant and problem solving skills). I guess I dunno if this makes me come across as a smart but impersonal person
