Hello GMAT club,
I was reading an article on brexit and the disadvantages it would face where I got this passage:
Some Brexiteers favour a radical response: get rid of all tariffs on imports, as Hong Kong, Macao and Singapore have done. Extravagant assumptions about the benefits of this explain why some pro-Brexit economists see no deal as much less damaging than most of their colleagues
What can be possible assumption here for the Brexiteers?
My answer:
Brexiteers think that with no duties on imports will bring more business from foreign and it will not do harms as much as other economists confirm.
Please let me know if the understanding is proper or is there anything you would like to add.
This is not a question. It's just my way of practicing and thinking clearly while reading random passages
