Hello,

I took a economist mock this morning.
Scored 550! :cry:
Q43
V24 :(

I'm not sure about the accuracy of my score in verbal section.

I've attached screenshots of progression of my question. It seems like I was making a fair progress! Not really sure how the algorithm works.

Tests companies try to mimic the actual GMAT, but there is only so far that they can go.
To understand your actual current standing, I would recommend you to sit for a GMAT Prep Mock Test and make sure that you take the test along with the AWA and the IR section.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I've had been studying for approx 5 weeks, when I took the test.
I think the scoring algorithm of economist is slightly flawed or probably there was an error on that particular day. There are series of correct answers. So a score of 24 perplexed me.

Was the same for me.
Only a few questions wrong like 10 wrong for Q and 10 for V. (I know it should be adaptive...)
In Quant 13 questions in a row correct and never more than 2 incorrect in a row, still only 41. In the Verbal part I scored only 30 compared to 35 on my last gmat prep.
I had the feeling that the test was zero adaptive.

Something similar happened with me in verbal (I gave only verbal)...I got 32 rights out of 41...Got 13 %tile and 16 score...I have not studied CR hence got only 9/14 but rest I got away with 13/15 and 10/12...Also, I got first few questions wrong so that's may be why low score but not enough to justify so low and poor.

I too got worried...
