Total area is 6*4=24, so area of nonshaded will be half of it =24/2=12...
Now the bigger side is an integer and will be 1,2,3,4,or5, as 6 is the length of biggest rectangle..
So smaller can be 12/1..no
12/2.. no
12/3.. again it will be bigger..
12/4=3.. yes
12/5.. yes
So it can be 3 or 12/5..
12/5 is given
