From this Webinar from the admissions committee it looks like the 1st wave on invites are expected "Mid-Jan" already! The second wave should go out at the end of Jan as well.

Hey guys... anyone else anxious about the invites....
Very difficult to wait....

Good luck! I wouldn't expect anything this week, Slight chance it could be next week.

For R1 they posted a blog update before they sent invites out, so I'd expect the same in R2.

Ross has the most transparent MBA process I encountered. You knew when you'd receive interview invites, what would happen during your interview/team based discussion, and when you'd get a decision. Soojin's blog/youtube posts were definitely amongst the most helpful resources for me during my process. I think all schools should follow Ross' lead in terms of the transparency.

The team has been busy reviewing the flood of Round 2 apps with the goal of sending the first wave of interview invitations out at the end of this week. Yes, there will be more than one wave of interview invitations in this round as Round 2 is always our biggest application round. The second (final) wave will go out at the end of January.

Note to applicants: The wave in which you’re invited to interview is not a reflection of how you stack up in the pool. It’s about volume and ensuring the quality and consistency of reviews.

Team exercises will be offered in four locations outside of Ann Arbor for Round 2 invitees:

Sao Paulo (Feb 4)
New Delhi (Feb 12)
Shanghai (Feb 16)
Tokyo (Feb 18)

International applicants who were waitlisted in Round 1 and completed their one-on-one interviews (in Round 1) will be invited to participate in a team exercise in Round 2.

Got an email from Ross Admissions titled "Michigan Ross Round 2 Interview Invitation..."

When I opened the email it finished the title with "s will be released in two waves"
