Thank you so much Rich for taking out your time to help me out. Please find below my responses.
1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
I took only Verbal & Quant. However, I believe that this should not affect my performance as I took both my mock tests and GMAT in the order: Verbal, Quant, IR, AWA. Moreover, I was not concerned about my performance in IR and AWA.
2) Did you take them at home? Yes
3) Did you take them at the same time of day as when you took your Official GMAT? Yes at the same time from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)? Nothing as such. Only difference was that my test used to be shorter in duration than the actual GMAT.
5) Did you ever take a CAT more than once? Had you seen any of the questions BEFORE (re: in an online forum or in a practice set)? I did not take any CAT ( GMATPrep and
MGMAT) twice. However, there were some CR questions which were familiar to me.
Here are some other observations:
- I felt that the Verbal section has become difficult and Quant has become much easier after the pattern change.
- I got most of the SC questions in the first half of the test. In the last 15 questions, I got lengthy CR passages and one extra long RC.
Can you please look into my ESR and suggest me some measures of improvement.
