Average speed is = Total distance/Total time
Max possible average speed is when distance is max and time is min
=4000/72= 55 5/9 km/hr
Min possible average speed is when distance is min and time is max= 3200/96 = 100/3 = 33 1/3 km/hr

since you're looking for max and minimum, you use the extreme cases, longest distance / shortest tiem and shortest distance / longest time and you get the answers.
