Hi ScottTargetTestPrep

Thank you! Yes, it is safe to say. But it's been 1.5 years, so I am hoping that I don't remember most questions. Thoughts? I was looking to get advice on this. Should I evaluate alternatives? I don't think that I can abandon the OG...

I am a little shocked. I just took official CAT #1. I didn't remember any question/answer pairs or anything exam-related, except for: "Oh yeah I remember them using this weird nation name (Verland)" or something similar. I had to go through every single question and every single answer option to determine my answer. Overall, I don't think I had an unfair advantage whatsoever.

My result was: Q49/V44/IR8 --> 750.

Quant: 13 wrong.
Verbal: 5 wrong.
IR: 3 wrong.

Do you suggest I review this CAT in detail, followed by spending a couple of weeks studying my weaknesses, then followed by one more practice CAT (to confirm the ability to score high)? I guess I can then take the real one. Currently, have it booked for February 6th.

Hi Nikolay,

This is an outstanding overall Score, BUT it's from a CAT that you had previously taken (albeit almost 2 years ago) - and you only restarted your studies 1 week ago. As such, we have to be a bit skeptical of the accuracy of this result. Any CATs that you take in the future should be from a NEW source (such as Kaplan or Veritas).

I suggest that you study/review as you like for the next week, then take a NEW CAT next weekend. If the results are similarly strong, then retaking the Official GMAT sometime relatively soon (instead of waiting for February) would be a reasonable idea.

Another GMAT Assassin has been made!

Very nice score!! Yeah, let's see how your review goes and of course how you do on another practice exam. Once you take the next one, feel free to check back in.

My result was: Q50/V49 --> 780.

Quant: 3 wrong.
Verbal: 1 wrong.

Did Offical CAT #4 (the last attempt was in December of 2018 for a total of 720 (Q49 V39). Same as the other one: didn't remember any problems, had to solve each one. This one felt a lot better from the "pacing" feeling.

Considered taking Kaplan/Veritas and others, but I have used the free tests before... so would be in the same boat.
