Hi Folks,
I gave my GMAT few days back and scored 690 (Q47,V37, IR1). IR scores were a shock to me
. I prepared for 1.5 months and used TTP for a month completed 97% of the course, I was expecting a higher score in both Quant and Verbal. I plan to give it one more try but I am very confused which course to purchase or just do self study (I feel like I have exhausted most of the study material). Can someone guide me and help me decide a way forward.
The current plan I have in my mind is purchase gmat-club tests and all the official mocks and use only these for my preparation. I am really stressed out as I am very unsure what more I can do to reach q49-50.
Also if someone can comment on IR score, how risky is it to use my current score for applications?

If you feel your fundamentals are strong, for example, leveraging more Official Questions may be helpful. Consider checking out the Online only question banks if you've already gone through the Official Guides.

Hi Anmol,
First off, a 690/Q47 is a strong Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do not use an applicant's IR score when evaluating an application, so you likely have nothing to be concerned about with an IR1. However, if you're interested in what a specific School/Program thinks about the IR score, then you should research that School directly (you might also consider contacting the School to ask).
Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
If you took your Official GMAT at a Test Center, then you might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.
