Hi anmolsb,

I'm happy to help. Can you paste in a screenshot of your TTP analytics page, so I can see what is going on with your course? Once I have that information, I can provide some additional advice.

Also if someone can comment on IR score, how risky is it to use my current score for applications?
Hi anmolsb,

I'm sure that you're already aware that it's most likely going to hurt your chances. How much? That's hard to say.

IR 1 is 0%, so I'd get in touch with my target schools to check what they think about this if I were you. That said, try not to spend too much time thinking about your IR score if you're going to take the GMAT again anyway. Focus on your main GMAT score for now.

Hi anmolsb.

A month isn't really time to take full advantage of the Target Test Prep GMAT Course. In fact, many people spend more than a month using the quant portion alone. Thus, as Scott suggested, your TTP analytics would likely reveal many things, such as areas of quant, that you could work on to increase your quant and verbal GMAT scores. So, you could either post the analytics here or contact the TTP team via the in-course chat so that we could review your analytics with you to see what they show.

Meanwhile, for some tips on how to increase your IR score, see this post.

Hi Rich,

Thanks for your reply. I would be grateful if you could help me out. Here are the details you asked for
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?- 45 days (3-4 hours weekdays, 6 weekends)
2) What study materials have you used so far? OG 22 (all three OGs), TTP for a month, Gmatclub
What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used? MGMAT , GMATPrep
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)? 4 mocks
GMATprep 1: 24 Apr- 700
MGMAT 1- 30 april 670 (V38, Q44)
MGMAT 2- 3rd May 670 (V37, Q45)
GMatprep 2 - 15th May 760 (V46,Q49) ( It was probably an inflated score as I had already seen few of the hard Verbal questions.

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score? 730+
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to? Planning to apply in second round in Top 20.

You can find my ESR attached .

Thanks a lot

Hi Marty/Scott,

My plan expired few days back so I dont have access to analytics dashboard. I found the course very structured but at this point I am a bit confused whether to purchase the plan again or not since I have mostly covered all the quant sections/quizes. I am still trying to decide on this.

Might be helpful to see if you can find shorter ways to solve questions. You may not find them for every single question, but if you can spot even 1 out of 3 questions that may help you across the 30+ questions on an actual exam. This can apply to EASY questions, too.

How to get better at GMAT Quant. Apply reasoning to save mental energy and time.

We have access to the analytics. So, if you contact us via the in-course chat or email, we can help you analyze the analytics and determine how to proceed.

Hi Anmol,

If this was your first attempt at GMAT, your Quant and Verbal score seems decent, to begin with. IR 1 is anyways a bit disappointing but it's never too late to give it another shot.

What you can do is-
Quant: Leverage your quant skills further, practice more & give more tests to analyze your quant performance. Maintaining an error log will be of help!

Verbal: There's definitely a scope for improvement in the Verbal section as well. First, figure out your strengths & weaknesses in verbal. Strengthen further the areas where you're good at.(you definitely can't afford to ignore this section as it). Doing good in this section will not only boost your confidence but practically get you higher scores. Second, introspect what's adversely affecting your performance in verbal and devise strategies for improvement based on that. May I know what's the study material that you're following for verbal prep so that I can guide you well?

IR: As far as your IR is concerned, there are lot of practice tests that you can attempt to increase your accuracy as well as timing. You need to aim for IR 4+ to succeed on the actual exam. Don't' take any of these sections lightly because your overall score will be determined by your performance on all of these fronts.

Shoot out your queries if you still have any. happy to help!

Hi Liam ,

Thanks for the reply. For verbal I mostly used OG and Gmatninja videos on YouTube.

I am more concerned about quant as I have exhausted OG questions.
