I'm a 28 y/o white male, educational background is in pharmacy, GPA:4.0. I’ve also attended an MD/PhD program for about a year, but decided to take a leave of absence, which I technically am still on. Both programs were at a top university in Europe.
I’ve been working in clinical trial management at a well-known, large academic center on the west coast for about 3 years now and I’m also consulting at a couple of local biotech startups. I’m looking to transition to the industry full-time this year. I’ve had a strong interest in diversifying my background to include more formal business training, specifically geared towards healthcare/pharma.
This and a handful of other forums have been quite informative so far. However, I haven't been able to find a lot on people with clinical (trial) backgrounds wanting to pursue an MBA.
I would be most appreciative for any and all advice.
Thank you

Thank you for your post. You, indeed, would bring a diversity of perspective to a classroom. Your background would be fascinating to Adcoms, especially if you can clearly express your need for an MBA. I would require additional information about your profile and your professional aspirations to assess your profile. If you are interested in an evaluation, please reach out (contact details in signature).
Good luck!

Just because you haven't seen a lot of applicants with that background on this forum doesn't mean that it isn't desired by the admissions committees. Especially HBS is pursuing STEM folks where an MBA would add a lot of value and it would also have a big impact.
