I would go with E, because a set having an extra number will never have a smaller range.

Consider:
Set S: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17
Set T: Any 8 of the above.

Since S has 9 different numbers and T is a subset of S. At max, the range of T can be equal to the range of S. The range of S can never be less than that of T.

can some one give an example of how the medians of the two sets can be the same
