1) Sufficient
Try it out:
use n=3,
1, 3, 5 (average = 3, median =3)
30,32,33 (average = 32, median =32)
n=2
1, 5, (average = 3, median =3)...etc. etc. therefore, sufficient!
2) Does range tell us anything about the mean or median?
2(n-1) = range
n = 3; therefore the range is 4
however the numbers could be 1,2,5 or 2, 4, 6 which will have differing sets of results as far as mean and median are concerned.
