Re: PowerPrep observations [#permalink]
Andy,

That is an interesting observation. I took PP about 3 months ago. Hmmm, I'll have to re-download it and see.

I wonder if the scoring mechanisms are different too.

Re: PowerPrep observations [#permalink]
Andy,

As giddi said, I don't think PP is available from mba.com now. They have changed it to suit Pearson, I'm not sure if it's still called PP, did u see GMATPrep? I think only GMATPrep is vailable now.

Recently, we had a discussion where duttsit (ETS GMAT) & eskay (VUE GMAT), have same breakup but different percentile
https://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=25641

Probably, score scaling is changed from ETS to VUE. It's better to concentrate on score breakup (Q & V) more than total score ;)

Several other members in the past have noted that the GMATPrep scoring algorithm is much more "generous" than Powerprep`s, however the questions were significantly more difficult.
