Statement 1 is insufficient as the triangle PQR can have- angle P as 100 degrees or 40 degrees (from the info available)
Statement 2 is sufficient as it is clear that r is 100 hence P will surely be the 40-degree angle, (no need to solve further as we know the exact value of angle p interior)
