Question

Hello, i'm doing a weekly CAT and review my waekaness points, study the weak concepts and practice, i do all the offical guide questions, And i need your advice for other resources to practice from ?

How have you been doing on those CATs, and what are your target scores and timelines? Even without any other information, I think it'd be a good idea for you to get the question pack 1 and the exam pack 1. Both are excellent resources. Maybe you can consider getting the quant review (OG) and verbal review (OG) if you need additional material.

Hi Azakaria,

Before anyone can give you an advice, we need to know more about your studies:

1. How long have you been studying?
2. Are you following any preparatory course?
3. What are your mock scores?
4. Are you taking full length mock CATs including the AWA and IR?

Regarding your studies, it is not a good practise to give a mock CAT every week. Mock CATs are the tools to build your concepts, focus and stamina. You need to improve upon your weak areas and then move on to the next mock CAT.
For additional resources, you can buy Exam Pack1 and Question Pack1 from mba.com

You can enrol for a preparatory course too (if you have not already done that). Most of the companies including ours offer a free trial period. You can use the course and see if it suits you.

Thanks all for answering,

i have been studying for more than 2 months, i study form MGMAT and Veritas books, my last CAT was MGMAT i scored 520 (Q33, V. 28) , i posted before and you adviced me to take CAT every week to know my weakness points and work on it, i was suppose to have the test on 12 March but i had to postponed it till 9 April to have more time, my target score is 650+ to have a competitive advantaged in my application but to get accepted i must score 600+.

Hi Azakaria,

This latest CAT score is a really nice improvement over your prior CAT scores.

With an April 9th Test Date, you have over 6 weeks of study time remaining. You could conceivably raise your scores to 650+ during that time, but you're going to have to be really efficient with your studies. Since you've taken a book-heavy study approach so far, you would likely benefit from investing in some new, non-book resources.

Your mock scores show a clear lack of understanding of fundamentals.
I would recommend you to go back to the fundamentals and understand them first. Once you have been through the lessons, you should solve the Official questions. You can buy the Exam pack and Question pack from mba.com
