For example this
This is ambigous

My furst reasoning resonates with yours.

For the second i understood that as the sequence proceeds (dark blue to light blue) the tenperature decreases

That is why generally declining
Otherwise for line X and Y it isnt very clear.

approach for this as well
The only possible inputs for case 2 are if the children 1-2-3, 2-3-4 or 3-4-5 pieces. There's no possible combination for a total of 13 pieces with 5 children.

Yes somewhat
what part do you not agree with

Wait I am solving the co-relation bit - then I will move to your other question

I myself am suffering with DI tbh

Don’t understand why this section has to be such a pain

Got it

Just to correvt you
3,4,5 wont be a possible case
Because the average is 2.8

I feel that the colour of the dots has got soemthing to do with it also.
Also both lead to the same answer.
Your answer is right because no other lines have a declining relation

what I have been able to figure with DS is - I will give it a pass on the actual exam and not waste time - only approach i can think of is hit and trial. what was your approach utsav

How I thought about 5 was - if there are 5*3 = 15 remaining value to distribute is 13. Now either 3 can be the higher observation or it cannot be. If its the highest obs - then 1*1 + 4*8 should make the deficit not possible. => 3 is not the highest. Can 3 be lowest - in that case 5 numbers should make up 13 => 2*4 + 4*1 = not possible

sorry then it will be 5*1 + 4*2 => but we are short of numbers

You might get a couple of DS questions so skipping wont be smart i feel.

How i improved on DS questions is by breaking the question stem as much as possible without looking at the statements.
Simplify the question statement till you have no further step to do

And then go for the statements

Quote:

For this, the range is 2. Since the question asked about the possibility of the children contributed 3, lets use the scenario of 3 being the greatest number and 1 the lowest. The possibility is 9 children contribute 3 (3*9 = 27), and 1 child left give only 1 piece. But there’s possibility of 4&2 being the greatest and lowest (4*4=16, and 6*2=12, 28 in total). So yes, I think it has to be 0 and 9 😅
Great!
Thanks
