Yeah thats what I couldn’t figure, why the mod on the (x-3)? V(x-3)^2 would be greater than zero anyway right?

Anything under square root can be 0 or positive(Unless denominator). But, we need to simplify as much as possible

I am more concern about DI section. Question bank for DS questions are very vast plus I can practice more precisely for IR questions.
I check on mba.com, new additional OG questions 24-25 are now available but i guess they should be mostly the same as the previous version.

This question is discussed here: if-d-denotes-a-decimal-is-d-140736.html

If d denotes a decimal, is \(d\geq{0.5}\) ?
(1) When d is rounded to the nearest tenth, the result is 0.5. This statement implies that \(0.45\leq{d}<0.55\). Not sufficient.
(2) When d is rounded to the nearest integer, the result is 1. d cannot be less than 0.5 because in this case 1 won’t be the nearest integer. Sufficient.
Answer: B.

Pure algebraic questions are no longer a part of the DS syllabus of the GMAT.

DS questions in GMAT Focus encompass various types of word problems, such as:

  • Word Problems
  • Work Problems
  • Distance Problems
  • Mixture Problems
  • Percent and Interest Problems
  • Overlapping Sets Problems
  • Statistics Problems
  • Combination and Probability Problems

While these questions may involve or necessitate knowledge of algebra, arithmetic, inequalities, etc., they will always be presented in the form of word problems. You won’t encounter pure "algebra" questions like, "Is x > y?" or "A positive integer n has two prime factors..."

So, you can ignore this question.

Previously, users were clicking A, B, C, D, or E just to reveal the answer, which created a log with 0 time in the error log, even though the question wasn’t actually attempted. Now, if you want to check the official answer and stats, you need to click the "Show Answer" button, which won’t create a 0-time log in the error log. If you want the question added to the error log, start the timer, select an answer, and it will be recorded properly in the error log.

So, essentially, if you just want to check the official answer and stats, click the large "Show Answer" button in the timer or "Show Answer" under the post. If you want the question added to the Error Log, start the timer and select an answer (A, B, C, D, or E).

I don’t know where to start and feel overwhelmed by text and number. I don’t know what kind of prep would help me get more flex with them. I can solve them most of the time but waste too much time
