Hello guys
My GMAT attempt is in the coming week and I’m facing two issues majorly:
1) the timing management for the quant section (and somewhat DI). I tend to panic for the last 6-7 questions.
2) word problem Typology of quant problems are difficult for me to solve.
Can someone suggest how should I go about addressing these please!
TIA
Hey, here’s few things that helped me to get better :
1. If you are at the end of your prep, then trust me you have faced all those question, there’s nothing new that might grapple you during the last few minutes of exams.
2. Never turn away from approach - read, understand, map the solution and solve- this might take few more seconds but ask yourself - few seconds or a wrong answer?
3. As per the words problem, practice from the GMAT club practice questions. Go for understanding the question not for solving them first hand on. Once you have understood, then solve. Take your time and solve atleast 10 questions from 655+, . You will see the improvement yourself.
All the best for your exam!
Don’t panic, the answer is there and you can see it with calm mind. Long solution we go for easier questions.
Also most 655+ or 705+ question needs logic more than actual

Hi All, I am facing issue while solving " Could be True" / "must be true" type questions in Quant, I try multiple combination of numbers but this takes a lot of time and if we miss any of the combination than the question gets wrong.
Could anyone help me with how to approach these type of questions.
It depends on what type of questions you are working over.
Mostly in algebra- with every must and could be true we have prior restraints given. For example a negative integer or a positive number or non negative integer.
In algebra the main point of focus after getting the answer is - is it a real number? Do we need integer? Do we need negative? Do we need non negative or non positive?
This will take practice but not more than 10 15 questions of 655+ questions and you will get hang of it.
If it’s about advanced topic - once again understand the logic, write down the given jnfo, picture the scenario and when the answer comes - align it with what the question has asked.
Practicing - doing the checking over and over again that it becomes ingrained.
Read, understand, make a pathway, write what’s given and solve.
