I second that. Make sure you're fresh. Besides if you do it Thursday night you won't have time to go over your mistakes. Taking it a day or so earlier will still keep it fresh in your mind.

I did it (except 2 nights before) and thought that it helped me get in the zone of really hunkering down at the test. It's probably not a good idea if you get burned out easily.

I think I'll try it Thursday afternoon, review after an hour break post-test, and get a good night's sleep. Thanks for the tips.

I did it this past weekend - took a CAT on Sun afternoon and my test was Mon. I can't really comment on whether it helped me or not, though I definitely did not feel like reviewing my mistakes after it, which is probably a bad idea.

I took GMATPrep2 in afternoon before the morning of the real test. I got a 740 and for some reason I wasn't super happy about it, so I turned around and redid GMATPrep2 right away in "fast-mode" and ended up getting...740. So I was a little fried to say the least, but my appointment wasn't until 10:45am anyway, so I got plenty of sleep.

I did do gmatprep2 take 2 the night before, but only because I knew I could finish it quickly due to the repeats.

I've taken GMP1 and GMP2 three times each. I'll take GMP1 the night before, and post my score and experience Friday afternoon.

I would not take a test the night before...maybe two nights before but the day before the test needs to be a quick review and you should do something to relax. That is my opinion, but everyone is different.
