I read on another website from a guy that scored 700 plus that he memorized the OG questions and thats one of reasons he scored so high. He said that when he was taking the test, some of the same questions that were on the GMAT were the same one on the OG. He said that the questions were practically the same that at one point he felt like he cheated on the exam. He referred to the questions in the OG guides are the bible for the GMAT.
Is he right, wrong? Discuss!

I don't think it will give you any advantage by memorizing the answers from OG. You may get a similar question in the actual test, but as long as you get your basics right, answering them should not be a tough nut to crack. In the exam room you will be so much stressed and so deep into the question that thinking about a similar question you solved during preparation is just a waste of time. If you are not able to solve a question, just take your best guess and move on. I will never ever recommend memorizing anything from any prep source.

First and foremost, please provide a link to the post you are referencing.
Secondly, I recall reading a post on here in which the person said he saw an identical problem on the gmat that he remembered from either OG12 or the OG quant book. I don't think I would rely on one person's experience to mold my prep strategy... I agree with the above poster - solidify your fundamentals and things should be okay. It wouldn't hurt to be very familiar with OG12-like questions but to memorize them, I think, is pointless.
