(B) when arriving, has a tendency of falling --> same as A
(C) when it arrives, it tends in falling --> should be "tends to fall"
(D) when it arrives, tending to fall --> no parallel with previous sentence i.e. not even a sentence w/o main verb
(E) when it arrives, it tends to fall --> correct
