Hi,
I'm a 25 year old male who is looking to transition into healthcare consulting and maybe an MBA in healthcare management after spending several years building my application for med school. While I was fortunate enough to gain admission into med school this cycle, I'm having many doubts about whether the career is the right fit for me. I'm hoping to get some help from you guys on:
(1) How my application looks as it stands right now and
(2) what type of job experiences would improve my application as well as what positions are realistic for me to apply for given my lack of a finance/business background. Ideally, I would like to be a top ten business school within the next 3-5 years.
Here is a condensed version of my CV:
3.7 undergrad GPA in Biology at a high-ranked public university
2+ years of laboratory research during undergrad
Summer internship at a biotech company
1+ year of full-time work at another biotech company
1+ year of full-time clinical research at a high-ranking medical school (current job)
Aiming for a 720+ on the GMAT (I've always done well with standardized testing)
Years of community service working in undeserved neighborhoods and different healthcare settings (still volunteering)
Thanks for your help!
