My name is Rishabh & I am planning to give GMAT old format twice, once on 15th jan & second on 31st jan. Since the old format will not be valid after 31st jan, these two attempts are my only chance for getting a score to apply for MBA this year. I am aiming to get 680 & my last score was 590. I have redone the GMAT course through E-gmat & giving their sectional practice tests.
I want to ask preparation tips for january. I am planning to give 2 maths sectional & 2 english sectional daily. And, I am thinking of giving one full-length within every 2 days.
My current status is I am between 50-70% accuracy most of the time. Major issues i get when i re-check is silly mistakes only which could have been avoided. I also wanted to ask how many questions should I get correct in each section maths & english for scoring 680. My english score is currently around 27-28 and maths is 43-46.
Please help me if anyone can provide any guidance for the same.

Hi Rishabh.
To score 680, you need to get around Q47 and V36.
So, you need to get around 18/28 counted Quant questions correct and around 21/30 counted Verbal questions correct.
In other words, you need to get around 64 percent of the Quant and 70 percent of the Verbal questions correct.
Accordingly, to achieve your score goal, you have to increase your practice accuracies, and you could shoot for the following:
Quant
E - 90%
M - 70%
H - 60%
Verbal:
E - 90%
M - 80%
H - 70%
To achieve those higher accuracies, you can work on one topic at a time and practice untimed until you learn how to get the questions correct consistently. Then, once you're consistently achieving high accuracy untimed, you can work on speeding up to test pace.
To score 680, you need to get around Q47 and V36.

Consider getting the ESR of your last attempt. If you share it here (after wiping any personal info), people may provide some specific suggestions as well.
