Or Is Round 3 an Option? Each year, as Rounds 2 starts sneaking around the corner, candidates start asking, “Is Round 3 really an option, or do I need to try harder to submit my application in Round 2?” Round 3 is undoubtedly the hardest round in which to be accepted to top U.S. MBA programs. In most cases, you should strive hard for Round 2.
It is a simple fact of math that in Round 2 there are less seats available than in Round 1. By the same logic, in Round 3 there are less seats available than in Round 2 – but even more drastically so. For the majority of schools, the bulk of applications are received in Round 2, and therefore the bulk of applicants are admitted in Round 2.
But does that mean that Round 3 is impossible? Not at all! But with much-reduced odds for success in Round 3, it is often to your benefit to bend over backwards to try to mobilize your application in time for Round 2 deadlines. If you haven’t started yet, should you give up on the prospect of a Round 2 application? If you have your GMAT score already or will take it soon, you likely can still make the Round 2 deadlines with only weeks to go. You will need to dedicate yourself in the few weeks remaining before the Round 2 deadlines, but at
MBA Admit.com, we have helped candidates who have enrolled with us with only about four days to go before deadlines and they succeeded in gaining admission to top MBA programs including Stanford and Harvard.
For those of you who are going to try hard for Round 2, we will offer a blog on “How to Apply for Round 2 with Only Weeks To Go!” For those of you who need to consider Round 3, we will post a blog soon about how to try to succeed in Round 3.
