Two months is certainly doable. I think I probably did the lions share of things in a month and a half.

Hi all,

I've just recently decided that I want to do an MBA. I am a USC staff employee and will apply to their MBA.PM (MBA for Professionals and Managers) program. Basically, they schedule classes during the evening and allow you to take up to 5 years to complete the degree.

My background is a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech (3.38 GPA), and B.A. in Computational Linguistics from University of Washington (3.93 GPA), with GRE scores of 540/720/5.5. I just started working as a software developer for the Institute of Creative Technologies (part of USC) 2 months ago; I interned with them for a total of 12 months before that.

Basically, I'm curious as to what my chances of getting the right GMAT score in time for the December 1 admission might be. I think I should be able to do at least USC average (650) within that time. But, I don't know what the consequences of applying second or third round would be vs. having a lower score. I'm sure the rest of my application will be pretty good. I have good grades, already did a Master's, and I'm sure my recommendations will be good. I think my extra-curriculars are good as well. The only detraction might be my lack of job experience.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!
- Tom

EDIT: Forgot to add that I got a Certificate in Operations Management at Georgia Tech during my undergrad.

as Adidas would say: Just do It!

just a little humor..I know..if Philp Knight is on here it's only a joke
