Hi,
I am a new user on the forum and i regret that

(I should have joined it lot earlier). I took my first GMAT exam a week ago and it was a disaster (scored 560 only). Well, that is a different subject on how i landed so low as against my expectations but i have re-collected myself and have decided to go for a retake and beat it this time.
Since, i beleive that i was not systematic in my first attempt; i started reading posts on the forums to strategise for the preparations before i actually begin preparing. I am confused about when to take the CAT tests to monitor and evaluate your progress. For example, if i start my preparation with SC and i will be only focusing on SC for first 10 days; Will it be of any use if i take a complete CAT test after 10 days? Then lets say after 20 days, i will be done with SC and CR; what kind of evaluation i should do at these milestones? Basically, need tips and clarifications on when is the right time to take the CAT tests and how to evaluate my progress after covering each topic.
Secondly, as i experienced the first time; Because i prepared one topic at a time and then when i completed all of them, i was bit rusty on those which i prepared initially. So, how to ensure that you are revising the ones you have finished at the same time when you are preparing for the new ones.
Thirdly, does it matter if i prepare for the verbal section first as against the Quant? Any pros and cons?
Look forward towards your insights; Many thanks.
Regards,
