i'm in the same boat as well, i took the exam last summer after studying for 10 days and only going through the kaplan800 along with some kaplan CAT's - this was not a good route needless to say, and i scored a 560.
my second try is on monday 7/23. ive been preparing for almost 4 weeks now, and i've completed the kaplan verbal & math books along with the 800 but not in great detail, i used them more as content refreshers so i was up to speed for the subsequent materials. i moved on to the OG11 along with the OG quant & verbal workbooks recommended by the gmat club and my final phase has been
MGMAT reviews along with the remaining pieces of OG quant / verbal. so far ive scored 640 (43Q 35V) and 620 (40Q 35V) on my two CAT's, and i feel great going into my exam monday. around the time of my exam (5PM) tomorrow, i will be taking my final gmatprep exam to get the most accurate gauge of where i'm at. if possible, i recommend allocating more time than i did, but my only goal is to break 600 because i have conditional acceptance to my program pending a successful retake. hope this helped, good luck!
