When x = 16 and z = 32
(2^16)^y = (16^2)^32
2^(16y) = (2^8)^32
2^(16y) = 2^(8*32)
16y = 8*32
y = 16
When x = 8 and z = 8
(2^8)^y = (8^2)^8
2^(8y) = (2^6)^8
2^(8y) = 2^(6*8)
8y = 6*8
y = 6
Difference = 16-6 = 10
When x = 16 and z = 32
(2^16)^y = (16^2)^32
2^(16y) = (2^8)^32
2^(16y) = 2^(8*32)
16y = 8*32
y = 16
When x = 8 and z = 8
(2^8)^y = (8^2)^8
2^(8y) = (2^6)^8
2^(8y) = 2^(6*8)
8y = 6*8
y = 6
Difference = 16-6 = 10

Good I got it right:) It wasn't a hard problem, just hard to do within the time limit. I have trouble keeping track of stufff
