HAHAHA I did the same thing a few days ago! It's obviously not an accurate predictor, but I am in the early stages of the waiting game freak out...

So I finished interviewing at the following schools -
Chicago, Duke and Cornell. Have an interview lined up at LBS soon.
So this is my estimation.. math gurus pls advice -

Individial prob of admit, not incl waitlist (I came up with these numbers from historical data from many sites)

Chicago - 1/4
LBS - 1/3
Cornell - 1/3
Duke - 1/3

Prob of admit in atleast one school = 1 - Prob of no admit at all schools
= 1 - 3/4 * 2/3 ^3
= 77.78%

Pretty high.. I doubt it!


this is assuming, of course, that there is absolutely no correlation between admissions from one school to another. if only it were so simple, i would have applied to 20 schools. :lol:
