Hello everyone!
I'm looking for advice on applying to B-schools in the future.
A little about me is that I'm Asian, female, and I studied Business Administration at USC for my undergrad. My GPA was 3.3 but my major GPA increased from 3 (lowest semester) to 3.82 in my last semester.
In terms of experience, I was the president of a Japanese anime/culture club with 30 members, and I interned at Intel in China in my Junior year where I helped analyze sales data for their products. For my work experience, I served as a City Year AmeriCorps member (we support students in a school and work with a partner teacher to get low-performing students on track) after college for one year and returned to serve as a team leader of 6 corps members this year. I was accepted and plan to do Teach for America for the next two years. I recently just started to study for the GMAT and anticipate getting a 700+ score.
Does anyone have advice for applying to business schools despite choosing a non-traditional route?
Thank you so much for your help!!
One major part of your profile building for MBA application is your work experience. It seems that you don't have any so far. I will suggest you go for the TFA program as they are well regarded in the MBA circuit, and will give you some crucial leadership skills.
